17-13 Sounds Like a Football Score!

Well, we won. I told the boys that they just had to find a way to win. And we did. Ryan Veith was 4-5 with 4 RBI's. Derek Dailey pitched 4 1/3 innings and gave up 2 earned runs but we had 9 errors that gave up the other 11 runs. Corey Moller earned the win in relief. Hope to see you all tonight vs. East Newton at 5:00 pm Here.

1-1 after two games

Tuesday 3/27
Purdy 4 Blue Eye 8
Derek Dailey had another three run homerun today in the 4th inning and Chris Bennett had a rbi single in the 4th but Blue Eye had oppurtunities in the later innings and scored all 8 runs in the last three innings. I have to give credit to Blue Eye, they had a game plan and stayed with it and finally broke through. That is probably one of or is the best pitcher we will see all year. He was tough and knew how to pitch. I am really pleased with my pitching staff. We have done really well these first two games. Corey and Mason have given us two good starts and Spencer has pitched very well in relief both nights. We travel to Diamond Thursday and back here on Friday against East Newton.

7 to 6 in eight innings

What a way to start. Just a quick recap for you all that could not make it. We got down 2-0 after a homerun by Lamar in the first inning. But, we were ready for something better. After back to back one out singles in the top of the first, Derek Dailey drove a bomb over the left center field fence to give us the lead 3-2. After giving up a few runs and only scoring one ourselves, we reached the sixth inning down by one 5-4. With one on and one out, Chris Bennett took the bat as a pinch hitter and hit a two run homer to give us the lead. After giving them a run in the seventh we came up tied at 6 in the 8th inning. After a lead off single by Blake Williams and a sacrifice bunt by Corey Moller, Bennett came up again and ripped an rbi single to left field scoring Williams. Corey pitched well for his first outing of the year, 11 k's, 4 BB's, 5 ER, 5 1/3 innings pitched. Spencer Terry earned the win in relief pitching 2 2/3 innings, 4 K's, 1 BB 1 ER.
See you all tonight at 4:30 here against Blue Eye.

It will be here before we know it

I was starting to think that the season would never get here, but now we only have 8 days until our first game. We have been having really good practices and the boys are working hard. We actually hit live pitching on Friday and our pitchers looked good for the first time pitching to live hitters. I have passed out our bags and this week I will pass out the uniforms this week. So, be looking forward to that. Also, I need your opinion. We were looking at wearing gold socks and belts this year instead of black. What do you think? Let me know.
