#1 SEED

Well, If you didn't already know, we got the #1 seed in the district tournament. We were voted #1 by 4 of the 6 teams that were there. I can't wait to prove our seed come district time. However, I told the boys that we had to win three no matter what seed we were. Plus, we have big games left in the season. See you all on Friday.

You could tell he was a little rusty but got that win under his belt. See you all tonight vs. Wheaton at Wheaton.

Coaching Idol Retires

I know that some of you don't know or don't care. However, Warren Turner has announced his retirement at Missouri Southern. He has been very influential to me and has helped me with a lot of questions over the past few years. After we won the conference tournament last year, he called to congratulate me and the boys. For a college coach with a lot on his plate, that impressed me that he would take the time to do that. He also has helped me with some pitching questions that I have tried to use for our pitchers. I know talent gets you far, and yes I have talented pitchers, but maybe he has had something to do with our 3.99 era. Just something to ponder. Anyways, see you tonight at Monett @ 4:30

Eagles Take Two!

Two big conference wins put us at 3-0 in the conference with only one game vs. Exeter left. McAuley put up a good fight, but we pulled it off, 2-1. Mason Roller pitched a complete game giving up 4 hits and dishing out 8 k's to one walk. Spencer Terry had and RBI single in the 5th inning to push Trenton Dailey across the plate after he lead off with a single and then stole second. In the second game of the double header, we played Wheaton to make up last Friday's rain out. Wheaton came to play, but we scored two in the sixth to take the 6-4 win. Spencer Terry pitched a complete game. He did not have his best stuff, but still pitched around walks, hits, and errors to earn the win. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3, but struck out 8. Mason Roller was 2-4 with an RBI. Blake Williams came up with one of the biggest hits of the season so far with a two out three run homer over the right center field fence. We play in the Monett Tournament this Friday at 4:30 against Monett. We play Saturday against East Newton and Seneca.

3 in a row

Another big win for the good guys. We beat Jasper on Monday night, 8-3. Josh Wiseman pitched a complete game to earn the win. He gave up 8 hits, 1 walk, 3 k's and 3 runs. He pitched very well. Ryan Veith and Chris Bennett each had two hits and two rbi's apiece. Mason Roller Played an excellent game defensively at third base. He turned a double play and made some tough plays look easy. We play McAuley and Wheaton tonight in a conference double header. This is the biggest games of the year. No holding back. Come out and support us tonight.

Ryan Veith had two hits and the two rbi's to give us the win in five innings. We play Wheaton today(pending the rain, so do an anti rain dance again). 10-0

We started our conference season out with a very big win. Spencer Terry pitched 5 innnings to earn the win. 12 K's, 1 hit, 1 BB. Josh Wiseman came in to pitch the 6th inning and only had to use 5 pitches to get three outs. Mason Roller was 3-4 with 2 rbi's and 1 double. Trent Goetz and Blake Williams each had 2 hits. We play Sarcoxie here Thursday and Wheaton here Friday. These are both really big games and Wheaton is probably the conference championship game. I know it is early, but we are the two best teams so far. We both are 1-0 in conference. So call all of your relatives and friends and get them out to the ball park on Friday to root for another conference win.

Lost 9-6

I don't know what to say to 9 errors and a total of 8 hits. The bright spot was Trent Goetz. He was 3-5 and is leading the team in hitting as of today. We play next Monday, the 9th against Southwest here. Opens up our conference season.
