Eagles Take Two!

Two big conference wins put us at 3-0 in the conference with only one game vs. Exeter left. McAuley put up a good fight, but we pulled it off, 2-1. Mason Roller pitched a complete game giving up 4 hits and dishing out 8 k's to one walk. Spencer Terry had and RBI single in the 5th inning to push Trenton Dailey across the plate after he lead off with a single and then stole second. In the second game of the double header, we played Wheaton to make up last Friday's rain out. Wheaton came to play, but we scored two in the sixth to take the 6-4 win. Spencer Terry pitched a complete game. He did not have his best stuff, but still pitched around walks, hits, and errors to earn the win. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3, but struck out 8. Mason Roller was 2-4 with an RBI. Blake Williams came up with one of the biggest hits of the season so far with a two out three run homer over the right center field fence. We play in the Monett Tournament this Friday at 4:30 against Monett. We play Saturday against East Newton and Seneca.

It is so good to beat Wheaton. Their fans are so loud and rude. I was really proud of our boys and coach's for not going down to that level. Keep up the good work.

I agree about the fans. That was the first game I have ever seen a high school player ejected. Keep up the good work Eagles.

"We play McAuley and Wheaton tonight in a conference double header. This is the biggest games of the year. No holding back." quote from Coach Hughes. I'm proud
of our boys, they gave their best holding nothing back and beat two teams that were determined to beat us. They brought their best games
to us and the Eagles were up to the challenge.
