This Weeks Schedule

We are cancelled for tonight vs Monett, and have no date at this time for a makeup date. We will play Fordland tomorrow at Fordland for a 430 start time, Varsity and JV. I am working for a game either Thursday or Saturday at this time. We will play Cassville next week on Monday, Galena in a Varsity Double Header only on Tuesday, and Clever on Thursday. If I get any more information, I will pass it on.

JV Tournament Champions

Our JV won the Purdy JV Tournament on Saturday. In game one, we beat East Newton 5-1 with Alex Mareth getting the win on the mound. Alex pitched great and our bats did enough to win. In game two, Wheaton beat Southwest. This put Southwest and East Newton in the 3rd place game where East Newton won. In the championship game, Austin Hancock pitched a complete game for the shutout to lead us to a 11-0 win and 1st place. This was a great day of baseball that ended in us winning 2 games. Can't ask for more than that.

Big Win Over Exeter

We beat Exeter 22-2 in 5 innings on Friday. Devon Bennett pitched 3 innings to get the win. We scored 8 runs in the 1st and 14 in the 3rd innings. Austin Hancock and Drew Williams pitched an inning apiece and didn't allow a run. As of now, this weeks games are all put on hold. Monett is still planning on tonight if they can get there field ready, but this rain is not helping at all. Fordland game, we are trying to move it, I will let you know. And Jasper has been cancelled due to Purdy FFA Banquet.

3-1 Win Vs Pierce City

Cameron Terry picks up his 5th win on the year by shutting down Pierce City in 7 IP, while striking out 7 and giving up no earned runs. He also had a single along with Drew Williams. Devon Bennett had an RBI triple and Keevin Walker had an RBI double. With only 4 hits, we had to score and hope to hold them and we did. Cameron did a really nice job of keeping Pierce City off the scoreboard for 6 of the 7 innings. Great team win. We play Exeter tonight at 430pm here. See you all here.

Conference Champions!!!!!

We beat Wheaton last night 4-2 and won our 3rd straight conference Championship and 6 in the past 7 years. Good job Fellows!!!!! Reese Stevenson picked up the win, pitching 6 2/3 innings, striking out 12, walking 5, allowing 6 hits and 2 runs. After a rocky 1st inning, he settled down to pick up the win and putting up 0's on the score board. Cameron Terry came in with 2 outs in the seventh and picked up the save by inducing a ground ball to 2nd. Reese was also 3-3 at the plate. Cameron Terry, Devon Bennett, and Austin Hancock had the other hits, all for RBI singles. With Wheaton, McAuley, and Southwest all beating each other and losing to us, they all have 2 losses. With us only having one conference game against Exeter, mathematically we are champs. But beating Exeter on Friday will complete our goal of Conference Champs Undefeated!!!!! We play Pierce City here at 4:30 on Thursday. See you there.
