Win moves us to 10-6

We beat Marionville last night 5-3. With the win we are now 10-6. Josh Wiseman pitched one of the best games of the year last night going 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 1 walk while striking out 5. His two runs allowed was both earned due to his error. Mason Roller picked up the save in the seventh. Trent Goetz was 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Daniel Barientos was 2-4 and Ryan Veith was 2-3 with one RBI and Run scored. Mason Roller, Derek Dailey, and Kevin Miller each had RBI singles. We play Southwest tonight there at 3:30. This is a conference game, hope to see you all out

Game schedule for this week.

We are playing Marionville today at 4:30 there. Tomorrow will be at Southwest at 3:30. Thursday we play Cassville there at 4:30. Friday we will play Exeter immediately following there game with Pierce City at Exeter. The PC and EX game starts at 4:30. Big week for us leading up to Sunday against PC at Hammonds field in Springfield. Springfield plays at 2:00 and we will play after them. Hope to see you all out this week.

With the win over Wheaton we move our batting average above .300

We beat Wheaton on Monday night. Sorry about the delay, I was gone yesterday. We put 16 runs and 16 hits up against them on Monday. We got a quality start from Landon Terry and great relief pitching from Daniel Burnside. Offensively we were lead by Ryan Veith again. He had 3 hits, 2 homeruns, 6 RBI's and 4 runs scored. Chris Bennet found himself ending the day with 3 hits, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI's. Riley Veith and Josh Wiseman each had 2 hits on the day. We got rained out yesterday and are trying to make it up tomorrow. Not sure where at yet. Depends on how much rain Southwest and us get tonight. We play Exeter on Friday.

We went 0-2 in the Monett tournament.

We lost to East Newton 12-6 and to Seneca 13-8. There wasn't very many highlights on the weekend. Ryan Veith was 4-6, with 2 homeruns and 6 RBI. Mason Roller also had 6 RBI's and 2 hits. We play Wheaton today here and Southwest there tomorrow. We end the week with Exeter at there place. This is a big week for us. We set a goal early in the season to win conference and this week will conclude our conference play. Hope to see you out this week.

17-1 vs. McAuley

We moved to 2-0 in the conference with a 17-1 win over McAuley. Mason Roller picked up the win. He is now 3-1 on the year. Ryan Veith and Daniel Barrientos each had two hits. Veith with a RBI triple in the first and Barrientos with a RBI double in the 3rd. We play in the Monett tournament this weekend. We play at 4:30 Friday night and 10 and 2 on Saturday. Jasper put two innings together to beat us 8-6.

Jasper scored 5 in the fifth and 3 in the sixth to beat us on Monday night. After an error and a walk, Jasper went back to back homeruns to cut the lead to 5-4. Then a two out double and single tied it. They scored three runs in the sixth on only a bunt single and a couple of walks and errors. Riley Veith pitched 4 innings giving up only one hit and striking out 9. Mason Roller was 2-4 with 1 RBI coming on a solo homerun in the seventh. We get back to conference play tonight at McAuley at 4:30. Hope to see you there.

17-4 win over Wheaton.

We beat Wheaton 17-4 in seven innings. We scored 8 in the last inning and that moved us to 1-0 on the young conference season and 7-3 on the year. Josh Wiseman picked up the win (4-0) pitching 6 innings, striking out 5, giving up 4 runs, only 2 earned runs. Riley Veith pitched a scorless seventh. Landon Terry was 3-5 with 3 runs scored. Derek Dailey was 1-2 with 3 BB. He also scored 3 runs, drove in 2 and stole 3 bases. We play Jasper tonight at Jasper. Hope you can make it there.

New time for today

Here are some team stats through the first 9 games. A couple of things that concern me, but for the most part, not to bad.

We need to bring our average up and ERA down. We also need to cut down on the strikeouts. Our pitching and defense is not great, but for the most part, it has kept us in some games.

Our game today against Sarcoxie has been cancelled and there hasn't been a makeup date set yet. I will let you know as soon as I do. The Southwest game from Monday hasn't been rescheduled yet either.

8-4 win.

Last night we got a chance to play. The game was against Exeter, but it did not count as a conference game. We will play the conference game there on the scheduled date. Mason Roller got a chance to pitch and pitched 6 innings, giving up 9 hits and 4 runs, with 7 k's. Josh Wiseman was 2-3 on the night with 3 RBI's. Derek Dailey came in and worked the seventh inning. I hope the sun comes out and we can play on Thursday. Don't forget to get your tickets for May 4th when we play at Hammonds field.

No game at Southwest!

Todays game has been cancelled. There coach has came down with a severe stomach virus. However, don't make any plans we are trying to get a game scheduled for today here. We are waiting on an approval from the other school's administration. I will keep you informed on the comments. Thanks.

Win moves us to 5-3

Last night we played College Heights here. We came out on top in 6 innings with a 12-2 victory. Josh Wiseman picked up the win moving him to 3-0 on the year. He pitched 6 innings while giving up 4 hits, no walks, 1 earned run and stiking out 7. Landon Terry and Riley Veith each had 2 hits a piece and Landon drove in 2 runs. Daniel Barrientos contributed with 4 RBI's and a double. Mason Roller had 3 RBI's and 2 singles. We play next Monday vs. Southwest at there place. This will start our conference season.
