What a day!!!!

Words can not explain the way yesterday worked. However, if you were the few that was not there, you might of missed one of the greatest games in Purdy Baseball. We started the game off hot with 3 runs in the first inning. Pierce City came back with 3 of their own in the bottom of the first. Then we battled back in forth for a 8-5 lead by Pierce City after the 5th inning. They scored 3 more in the sixth and we started the seventh down 11-5. Mason Roller and Derek Dailey walked to lead of the seventh and Ryan Veith followed with a single. After an out. Chris Bennet singled to drive in 2 and Derek Fulp drove in 2 with a triple. After another out, Trent Goetz and Daniel Barrientos walked to load the bases. Mason Delivered a 3 RBI single to give us a 12-11 lead. They scored one in the bottom of the seventh tying it at 12. In the 8th we scored 4 runs and held them in check to come out on top, 16-12. We play a JV double header today at Pierce City and then back to Varsity play tomorrow at Galena. Tonight at 4:30 and tomorrow at 5:00.

Wow, you're right words can't expain. The team played hard the whole game. It would have been easy to concede the game going into the 7th inning, but you didn't. Your desire to never give up is something to be proud of.
Awesome game guys!!

Nice game boy's. It was good to see everyone pitch in and deliver when called upon. Whether it was the upperclassmen or the underclassmen getting the big hit or the big walk everyone played an important role. I hope to see yal again in districts. Keep playing well and keep playing with a passion and a desire that will carry you far. Keep up the good work Joshua.

What a game, everything from hitting, team work, the coach not letting you give up and drive to win. You could have turned in the towel when you were down but didn't and look what happened. Just shows what hard work can do. Keep it up guys and the best of luck in the rest of the season.

Wow. Wow. Wow. That's about all I can say after last night. It was amazing to be a part of something that special. Not only was that one of the greatest comebacks and biggest wins in Eagle Baseball history, but has to rank up there with one of the greatest played on Hammons Field. They guys never give up and know how to win. Everyone should be proud of them and cheer them on as district play begins. Lets go get em fellas.
